A hundred miles an hour on a dead-end road
I need a little detroit in my soul
Every nights hotel a different name
It's part of the game
Everybody wants to be just like me
Fame and fortune is their fantasy
I gotta' get back where the life was pretty
Rockin' all the way to the motor city
Motor City
Motor City
Motor City
Rockin' all the way to the motor city
I've got to smell the diesel in the detroit air
Run a little 40 weight, through my hair
Chased my dreams, now I'm chasin' memories
Of all that was me
Got to get right back where I started from
Got to overhaul my body, before I run
Leavin' will be hard, no, it's never easy
Gonna make my mark on the motor city
Motor City
Motor City
Motor City
I'm gonna make my mark on the motor city
Yeah !!!
Yeah !!!
Need a little detroit back in my soul
Let me get back to a life I know
Where the music's rockin' and the girls are pretty
Motor City
Motor City
Motor City
Motor City
Gonna make my mark on the motor city
Motor City
Motor City
Motor City
I'm gonna make my mark on the motor city
